MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether) is the abbreviation of methyl tert-butyl ether. It is a high-octane gasoline additive. The chemical oxygen content is much lower than that of methanol, which is beneficial to warming up the car and saving fuel. It has low latent heat of evaporation. Good for cold start, often used in blending of unleaded gasoline and low lead oil. It can also be re-cracked into isobutylene as a raw material for rubber and other chemical products. The best quality methyl tert-butyl ether can be used as medicine and is a medicine intermediate. Commonly known as “pharmaceutical grade MTBE” or “pharmaceutical grade methyl tert-butyl ether”. The toxicity and danger of methyl tert-butyl ether should be fully paid attention to during storage and use.

PRODUCT APPLICATION
MTBE used as a gasolin e additive to increase the octane number, and can also be cracked to produce isobutlene, used as a gasolin e additive, with excellent anti-knock properties. It has good miscibility with gasolin e, little water absorption and no pollution to the environment. As a raw material for organic synthesis, high-purity isobutylen e can be produced
