Amines, C12-14-alkyldimethyl is a tertiary amine with a linear aliphatic chain and are N,N-dimethyl substituted. Amines, C12-14-alkyldimethyl is insoluble in water and its density is lower than that of water. So it floats on the water. It is soluble in alcohol. Amines, C12-14-alkyldimethyl has basicity and is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol andisopropanol. Amines, C12-14-alkyldimethyl has the chemical properties of organic amines. Contact may irritate skin, eyes and mucous membranes. May be toxic by ingestion, inhalation or skin absorption. Used in the manufacture of other chemicals.
