Properties

Hydrogenated tallow primary amine has a weak pungent ammonia smell, is not easily soluble in water, but is easily soluble in chloroform, ethanol, ether and benzene. It is alkaline and can react with acid to produce the corresponding amine salt.

Application

Hydrogenated tallow primary amine is an important intermediate of cationic and zwitterionic surfactants, and is widely used as a flotation agent for minerals such as zinc oxide, lead ore, mica, feldspar, potassium chloride, and potassium carbonate.
