4. Applications
- Lithium-ion Batteries: It is a key component in the formulation of electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries. It helps improve the conductivity and low-temperature performance of the battery.
- Organic Synthesis: Used as a solvent for Grignard reactions, reduction reactions, and polymerization processes. It is particularly effective for dissolving inorganic salts (like lithium perchlorate) in organic media.
- Pharmaceuticals: Utilized as a reaction medium and solvent in the synthesis of various drugs, including antibiotics and anti-cancer agents.
- Chemical Intermediates: Used in the production of plastics, rubber, and other chemicals.
- Electronics: Used as a cleaning agent and solvent in the manufacturing of semiconductors and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Paint and Coatings: Used as a coalescing agent and solvent in water-based coatings and inks.
5. Packaging and Storage
- Packaging:
- 180 kg Iron Drums: Standard industrial packaging (sealed to prevent moisture absorption).
- IBC Totes: 1000 kg (For medium quantity orders).
- Bulk: ISO Tanks (For large quantity orders).
- Storage:
- Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse.
- Keep the container tightly closed when not in use. (Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames). (Protect from moisture) as it is hygroscopic. (Protect from light) to prevent the formation of peroxides.
- Do not store near strong oxidizing agents or acids.
6. Safety and Handling
- Precautions: DME is a highly flammable liquid and vapor. Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. It can form explosive peroxides upon prolonged exposure to air and light. It is irritating to the eyes, skin, and respiratory system.
- Handling: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, chemical-resistant gloves (nitrile or PTFE), and a respirator if ventilation is inadequate. Do not use if the container is swollen or if peroxides are suspected.
- First Aid: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting; seek medical advice immediately.
7. Why Choose Us?
